Pamela Cooper - oils & acrylics

Pamela is well-known for her bold fruit paintings. Whilst these were an outlet for what she was trying to express, her wish to demonstrate the freedom of the spirit through her paintings has become evident in the new cosmic works which have been extremely well-received by the public and in the decor world. Pamela has a studio at Noordhoek Farm Village in Cape Town, where she welcomes the public to visit her seven days a week.

The Eatwell Gallery

The Eatwell Gallery has an extensive collection of artwork by the artists of the Eatwell family. The artists, Mags, Eric Oswald and Lynne-Marie are amongst South Africa's top up-and-coming artists. The gallery also serves as a studio and offers a unique opportunity to meet and see the artists at work. The gallery was established by the artists in 2001 and has been the start of a dream to share in the splendour and joy that goes into the creative process with members of the public, who would otherwise never have had the opportunity to view such an event.
To share a gift that has been freely given, allows an opportunity to freely receive. With this small beginning lies the prospect of greater things.

Light from Africa

"Where there is light, there is hope"

The Light from Africa Foundation was created to address the on-going crisis of AIDS-orphaned children in the greater Cape Town area. A ceramic studio has been set up to train unemployed people from local townships to become skilled ceramicists. They produce works of art which are sold to generate the funds which are needed to build and maintain homes for AIDS-orphaned children. Each unique piece is designed to hold candles - the Light from Africa symbol - carrying the message of hope around the world.
Six artists from Ocean View and Masiphumelele (two townships in Cape Town) started in January 2004. Another seven joined in September 2004. They are trained by Cathrine Grier and Jane Young, two renowned ceramic artists. The long-term goal is to employ 36 artists.
The art pieces are produced to thr highest possible standard and each is an unique work of art which has been designed and created by the individual artist. Each piece is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
